What are trees ?

Trees are the green cover of the planet. Trees are like a green carpet for the earth and they are very important for human life as well as animals. Both human and animals are dependent on trees.Like any other plant, trees need sun, water and nutrients for survival. There are three main parts to a tree: the roots, the trunk and the crown (branches and leaves), and each plays a part in helping the tree use the sun, water and nutrients. The roots absorb water and nutrients from the soil.plants release molecular oxygen as a waste product of photosynthesis (as do most plants). In photosynthesis, plants capture sunlight and use its energy to split carbon dioxide and water, making sugar for itself and releasing oxygen .

  • Deciduous trees – These trees have leaves throughout the year. Oak, maple, and elm are examples of deciduous trees. They lose their foliage in the fall and grow new leaves in the spring. Trees, shrubs, and herbaceous perennials that shed their leaves for part of the year are categorized by botanists as deciduous.
  • Coniferous trees – They are cone-bearing seed plants with vascular tissue. All living conifers are woody plants, and most are trees. Living conifers are all in the order Pinales. Typical examples include cedars, cypresses, firs, junipers, kauris, larches, pines, redwoods, spruces, and yews.
  • evergreen forest – As they stay green throughout the year, tropical rainforests are also called evergreen forests. This is because at separate moments of the year they shed their leaves. Tropical evergreen forests(or tropical rain forests) are usually found in are as receiving more than 200 cm of rainfall and having a monthly mean temperature of 18°C or higher in the coldest months. Tropical evergreen forests are dense, multi-layered, and harbour many types of plants and animal.

some examples of trees are : –

THE WEEPING WILLOW – The weeping willow is a rapidly growing tree, which means it is capable of adding 24 inches or more to its height in a single growing season. It grows to a maximum height of 30 to 50 feet with an equal spread, giving it a rounded shape, and can reach full growth in as soon as 15 years.

MAIDENHAIR TREE – Before planting a ginkgo tree, consider its estimated height and canopy width at maturity. When mature, ginkgo trees reach up to 100 feet tall and have a canopy between 30 and 50 feet wide.

American sycamore – Two species of the broad, spreading sycamore trees are native to the United States. American sycamores (Platanus occidentalis) grow naturally in the southeast and lower midwest; California sycamores (Platanus Racemosa) like a warmer climate and are native to large parts of California south to Mexico.

Maple – Maple wood is commonly used in high-end furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and kitchen accessories. Because of its durability and strength, maple can be found used as flooring in bowling alleys and for bowling pins.

Salix caprea – Salix caprea is a broadleaved deciduous tree in the Salicaceae family that is also sometimes known as great sallow, or pussy willow. It is relatively small in size, typically growing to a maximum height of 12 metres, and also occurs as a multi-stemmed shrub.
